Of all the questions
you will ask yourself in life, the most important is:
"Am I good enough to go to
Heaven?"
Let's see what the answer
is:
The Good
Person Test
(Please answer honestly. Your eternal life depends on it!)
1. Is God first in your
life? Do you love Him above all else?
2. Have you made a god to
suit yourself?
3. Have you ever used
God's name as a cuss word?
4. Have you always kept
the Sabbath day holy?
5. Have you always
honored your parents?
6. Have you ever hated
anyone (murder of the heart)?
7. Have you ever looked
at someone with lust or desire (adultery of the heart)?
8. Have you ever taken
anything that does not belong to you (the dollar amount doesn't matter)?
9. Have you ever told a
lie (even for a good purpose)?
10.Have you ever been jealous
over what someone has?
The Ten
Commandments are God's standard of goodness. They're like a
mirror--all a mirror does is show you the truth.
The best of
us has have lied, stolen, lusted, hated, failed to love God above all else,
etc. And even if we've broken just one of the Ten Commandments, then
we've broken God's law.
God's law
demands justice. The penalty for sinning against God is death and Hell.
So, on Judgment Day, will you be found innocent or guilty
of breaking His commandments?
That's the
bad news.
But, read
on, here comes the Good News.
God,
Himself, made a way of escape for us so that we wouldn't have to go to Hell.
He became a man to pay the fine. Jesus suffered and died on the cross
to satisfy the Law.
The only
thing we can do is humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and receive the
gift of trusting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
If you die
in your sin, there is no second chance. God doesn't want you to
go to Hell and neither do you.
Put your
trust in Jesus to save you, and you will pass from death to life.
Pray something like this:
Dear God,
Today I put my trust in
Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He is the only way for me to be
saved. He is "The Way, the Truth, and the Life." Today I turn
away from all of my sins. Please forgive me, change my heart, and
grant me Your gift of everlasting life.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen
