What's in it For Me?

Red Alert “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” --Nehemiah 4:14 War and rumors of war are imminent. While many in our country are preparing for war with duct tape and plastic wrap, the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of this world. They are more powerful than nuclear weaponry, bioterrorism, and suicide bombers put together. War is nothing new to us. The day we became born-again we enlisted in an army. We have an enemy and the battle is for souls. Satan’s ultimate goal is to populate Hell. His tool for doing this is to steal, kill and destroy. God’s ultimate goal is to populate Heaven. The weapon He has given us is the Good News of the Gospel. We need to pray for our President, country, and military during these trying times and support them in every way we can, but we must never lose sight of what Jesus has commissioned us to do. Like U.S. troops, who are being sent to various battle stations in the world, we, too, have been sent--to preach the gospel to every creature. As evil is being unleashed in the earth as we have never seen before, our evangelism efforts need to step up as well.
