Holy Boldness
"Pray
also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I
will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel…Pray that I may declare
it fearlessly, as I should.” Ephesians 6: 19-20
Yes, we need to study to show ourselves
approved. Yes, we should familiarize ourselves with soul winning
Scriptures. Yes, it’s fine to memorize a particular witnessing approach.
But when all is said and done, and we have reached the
end of ourselves and our knowledge, the Holy Spirit will give us the words
to say with great boldness. When we do our best, God will do the rest.
He will help us make the name of Jesus known. He will
give us responses to the tough questions. He will help us season our words
with love. He will even take something we say and tweak it so it is exactly
what the lost need to hear. He is a wonderful God!
If you feel you don’t have “excellency of speech or
wisdom” you are in good company. Neither did Paul. Jump into the river of
evangelism and let the Holy Spirit fill you with all that you need to boldly
and fearlessly proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Winning Quote of the Month
“It is
true that [many] are praying for worldwide revival. But it would be more
timely, and more scriptural, for prayer to be made to the Lord of the
harvest, that He would raise up and thrust forth laborers who would
fearlessly and faithfully preach those truths which are calculated to bring
about a revival.”
